Q&A with The Kittchen
Tell Us About Your Blog?
I write original recipes, restaurant reviews, and travel stories. I strive to create recipes that are doable for people without much time or sophisticated kitchen tools. I am completely obsessed with food, so I write about the restaurants I visit in Chicago as well as the restaurants I visit when I travel.
My blog was named for me. My husband and my friends wanted me to start a blog, so they put it together for me and gave it to me as a birthday gift. They named it The Kittchen – which is a play on my name. I think it fits perfectly.
My love of cooking inspires me to blog. I want to inspire other people to get in the kitchen. I find inspiration in seasonal ingredients and the trends I notice in Chicago restaurants.
Best Part of Blogging?
The people. I have met the most amazing friends through blogging, which inspired 5 of us to start the Windy City Blogger Collective (windycitybloggers.com). I love the creative and supportive blogging community. Chicago bloggers get to attend the best events which is a big perk.
Cheese! I am completely obsessed with cheese! So much so that I wrote The Gourmet Grilled Cheese Cookbook last year. I also love chocolate and red wine.
