Happy Monday! Guess what? It’s grocery shopping day! Now that summer is in full swing, we all want a nice glow but do we really want to risk our pretty skin in the sun? They say, you are what you eat. Eat the right foods and you’ll be glowing without spending your entire Saturday at the pool. Ultimately, although the foods we eat can have a huge impact on our skin, it is no secret that there is an increasing number of cosmetic treatments out there that can give your appearance a boost. For example, if you are insecure about your wrinkles or Frown lines, you could get Botox. If you are considering getting any cosmetic procedures, just remember to do as much research as possible to find the right treatments for your needs. Now that I’m all about this glow thing, here are some of the foods that I will be shopping for today!

Grocery List – Monday 7/20/15

Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, salmon is the perfect fish to keep your skin looking smooth while also decreasing inflammation.

High in beta-carotene and vitamin A. Read more about it here.

Sweet Potatoes
Just like carrots, these babies are high in beta-carotene and vitamin A. A great way to keep your skin silky soft!

Dark Chocolate
Chocolate being bad for you is possibly the greatest myth that ever existed. This is something that you will see on my grocery list every week. A small amount of dark chocolate each day is said to keep skin hydrated and for me, it’s a great source of iron (I need every bit I can get!).

High in vitamin C, which we all know is a big skin saver and helps reduce wrinkles.

Nuts have vitamin E which is great for reducing facial inflammation. They are also the best snack when you are on the go!

I only buy Greek yogurt plain. I add a little honey, peanut butter and bananas…it’s tasty. Yogurt is also said to be high in biotin which is great for skin and nails.

Packed with vitamin C, I just love this veggie.

Dark Leafy Greens (Kale, Spinach, Water Cress, Arugula)
Let’s just say, I NEVER leave the store without one of these leafy greens. I usually buy kale and spinach but lately I’ve been really into arugula. Just wait, I also have some great upcoming recipes that will make you crazy for these greens. Also, this is an obvious one, these greens are filled with antioxidants and within a few days of eating these them, I notice a huge improvement in my skin!
