Working girl by day, Broke Girl Diaries by night, Emily Gross shows us that we can still be chic with a “broke girls” budget. Emily grew up in Sunny Scottsdale, Arizona where the town is full beautiful women and all of those designer things. So what has kept her from spending over her budget when all of those pretty things are just right around the corner? As we all know, Emily Gross has the perfect closet, but I bet you would have never known that each time she shops (and purchases multiple items), she only spends $50.

Emily has been inspired by blogs for many years and was waiting for the right time to start her own. After graduating with her Bachelor’s in Business Communication at Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey, Emily realized that life isn’t as easy when you get out in the real world. She was then inspired to begin a blog to show women all over the world that you can still be chic while paying your bills. In April 2014, Broke Girl Diaries was born.

Being a broke girl does not mean that you do not have money. It means you’re smart. It means that you can budget and know how/where/when to spend your money.

Emily’s favorite stores to shop at are Forever 21, H&M, Target and Zara. With a keen eye for fashion, Emily shows readers that whether you are going to work or going out, you can still be fashionable without breaking your budget.

After spending her entire life in Scottsdale, Emily has recently relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her life dream of acting. If you know Emily, you know she will be perfect at it! Emily will burst out a tune in front of a group of strangers and follow with a laugh that is contagious. She has always had a deep love for comedy and you can see that through her blog posts.

The Blog Issue and myself can thank Emily for everything that we have become. Without Emily, I’m not sure The Blog Issue would exist. Each moment you spend with her, she feeds inspiration and motivation into you and makes you realize that life is so special. She won’t let you stop doing what you love, even if it requires her yelling at you or making fun of you…in a good way. She pushes you to be the best you can be and never stops believing in you. I encourage everyone to watch Emily grow in her blogging and acting career while she continues to inspire us all with her hard work and dedication.
