The Holidays are nearing us and to my surprise, this year my diet has really turned into fruits and veggies. I will have the occasional filet but for the most part, I have been meat free! I cooked with Gardein on multiple occasions, especially with their burgers. Since we are in holiday season, I was excited to try something new. Something turkey, but not actually turkey.
I paired Gardein’s Stuffed Turk’y and Turk’y Culet’s along with my favorite, sweet potato! The meal was delicious and didn’t put me immediately to sleep during my last bite. I have included the recipe below and Gardein has amazing recipes here! Let me know what you think! …ps, If you can’t find Gardein in your area, use the store locator here. 1 Package of Gardein Turk’y Cutlet
1 Package of Gardein Stuffed Turk’y with Gravy
1-2 Sweet Potatoes
2 Tablespoons Raw Honey
3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
Brown Sugar to taste
Preheat oven to 450F. If cooking both Gardein Turk’y Cutlet and Gardein Stuffed Turk’y, you will need to cook separately or begin cooking the Stuffed Turkey about 10 minutes earlier. Place Gardein on parchment paper and place in the oven. The Stuffed Turk’y takes approximately 25 minutes where the Turk’y Cutlet will need to cook for about 20 minutes or until crisp. The gravy can be heated in the microwave for approximately 1 minute. Once Gardein Stuffed Turk’y and Turk’y Cutlets are cooked and crisp, drizzle heated gravy.
For the sweet potato, if you have time, serving cubed in my favorite way. Take 1-2 sweet potatoes and cube them in about 1 inch cubes. Place in bowl and cover in olive oil. Place cubed sweet potatoes in an oven safe dish and drizzle honey over the top. Season with sea salt and pepper to taste. Bake in 350F for about 25 minutes or until soft. Once sweet potatoes are cooked, you can top with more honey and brown sugar!
