Before we start, let me tell you a little secret. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and have lived here a total of 15 years. The secret? I have never been to Sedona! Sedona, Arizona is home to the red rocks, hiking, photography, stunning resorts and most importantly, relaxation. How have I missed out for so long?!

My boyfriend Michael and I were recently invited to stay at the Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock. We are currently in the peak of summer in Phoenix, so we were so ready for our getaway. The drive is very interesting and very stunning. You find yourself in the middle of the desert and then once you reach Sedona, you feel like you are literally in a painting. A photo from our driveā€¦

We arrived at the Hilton Resort and were so excited to explore. First, we went to visit our room which happened to be a beautiful suite. The suite was amazing with a kitchen, full living room and separate bedroom and bathroom. Upon our arrival, there was a knock at our door and we were welcomed with my favorite, cannolis, from Salvatore Moscato. These cannolis were to die for and I was excited to find out that we could order more at the restaurant downstairs called The Grille at ShadowRock!

Shortly after we demolished our cannolis, we headed down to eforea spa. I was ready to relax with Hilton Sedona’s Signature 90 minute massage, the Full Circle. This massage is inspired by the four directions and incorporates your mind, heart, body and spirit. While relaxing in the spa prior to my massage, I sipped on cucumber water and enjoyed the beautiful view from a comfortable lounge chair. A gentleman named Lou met me for my massage. He presented the different directions to me as each have their own scent and represent a different meaning. I chose the direction North which was such a refreshing scent. The massage began with an exfoliation, a full body massage, and then meditation. Lou did an exceptional job and let’s just say, I left the spa very calm and relaxed.

Michael, on the other hand, was ecstatic. We went to the spa thinking that he was going to be working out in their gym. Come to find out, the Hilton Sedona has a full crossfit course at their spa. Let’s just say, I couldn’t get him out of there!

After a relaxing day at the efora spa, we were ready for dinner. We went to The Grille at ShadowRock, which is located inside the resort. The nights in Sedona are beautiful so we decided to eat outside. On the patio, we enjoyed acoustic live music and the world’s greatest bread and olive oil. Both of us ordered a Caesar salad and Porterhouse steak (we somehow always order the same exact thing without realizing it!). The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Our waiter Ryan was great. He actually creates comic books which I found very interesting and Michael loved. You can visit his Facebook page here. For dessert, we had a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream on top. Was it delicious! After dinner we were pretty exhausted so we decided that we would relax to a movie and get an early start on Sunday.

Hello Sunday. Do we have to leave already? Of course not! Sine we were up early, we headed down to breakfast at The Grille at ShadowRock. We decided to try the breakfast buffet and we literally ate everything. I highly recommend the french toast and mini waffles. They were delicious! After breakfast, we decided to walk around the resort and enjoy the beautiful views. My favorite part of this resort is the infused water they have everywhere. I have never tried fruit infused water until my weekend at the Hilton Sedona and now I’m addicted.

Shortly after our walk, we drove to the red rocks for a small photo shoot. When I say the rocks are picture perfect, I have never seen anything so beautiful. We spent a few hours walking and driving to different towns and now it was time to head home. Relaxed and refreshed, we drove back to Phoenix ready to plan our next trip to Sedona. We plan to go with friends in the Fall so we can enjoy a game of golf, spa time at eforea and let’s not forget the cannolis!

Thank you to the Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock for making our stay so relaxing and wonderful. A special thank you to Lou at eforea for my Full Circle Massage and Ryan at The Grille at ShadowRock for a wonderful dinner experience. Enjoy the photos!
