3 Easy Party Snacks – 5 Ingredients or Less

It is almost Thanksgiving! Follow the instructions below if you want to feel like an awesome hostess or house guest (on the cheap & easy). The recipes for the pita toast are so simple and you should top them with whatever you have on hand. If you have bell peppers, cucumber, roasted peppers in a jar, olive tapenade or even artichokes hearts. Go to the olive bar to check out some yummy options for these toasts and get creative. If you’re in a serious rush, don’t bother with broiling the pita bread! Skip the oil, salt, and pepper and just pop them in your toaster!

Pita Toasts with Hummus and Olives
1 Package Pita Bread
1 container of store bought hummus
1 Small Jar or Can of Black or Green Olives, Sliced
Fresh parsley or mint (optional)

Slice pita bread in triangles and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper and broil in the oven for 2 minutes or until toasty. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a minute. When they are cool, do a dollop of hummus and top with olives. Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve.

Pita Bread Toasts with Hummus, Tomato and Feta
1 Package Pita Bread
1 container of store bought hummus
1 tomato, chopped
1 package feta cheese
Fresh Parsley or Mint
Red Wine Vinegar

Slice Pita bread in triangles and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper and broil in the oven for 2 minutes or until toasty. Remove from oven and let them cool for a minute. When they are cool, do a dollop of hummus and top with tomato, feta, and herbs. Drizzle with a bit of red wine vinegar.

This peanut butter popcorn is so yummy for a party, if you really want to get crazy melt some jelly in a cup in the microwave and put that on the popcorn along with the peanut butter. Go crazy, it’s Thanksgiving!

Peanut Butter & Maple Popcorn
½ cup peanut butter
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons maple syrup
¼ cup of milk
Pinch of salt
Microwave popcorn

Microwave the popcorn according to package instructions. In a small pan heat butter, syrup, milk and peanut butter together. Whisk until smooth. Turn off the heat, pour the popcorn onto a plate and using a fork or a squeeze bottle drizzle the popcorn with the peanut butter sauce.
