Positive ways to celebrate your weekend

While listening to the “Imagine” remake by Jack Johnson, it came to mind that living for today is what is really important in life. Our weekends can slip right by missing the opportunity to laugh with the ones we love the most. Work can consume us as well as too much TV. Use this weekend to catch up on the positive things in life and really live for today!

  1. Breakfast always makes the day better.
  2. Don’t let the negatives get you down. Face them head on.
  3. Laugh, let go and be yourself!
  4. Always kiss your loved one good morning, good night and all the times in between!
  5. Spend less time watching TV and more time talking.
  6. If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say it at all.
  7. Take a peek into your old things and find something that makes you smile (vintage ladies)!
  8. Take a chance. Do something that will make your heart race.
  9. Send flowers or a small gift to a friend just because.
  10. Be there for people. Be the go to person when someone needs to talk or just needs a friend by their side.
  11. Write a list of goals and commit five hours a week.
  12. Hike your nearest mountain and just listen to the sound of nature.
  13. Spend time with your pups and take a long walk to the park or lunch at a doggy friendly spot!
  14. Communicate. If something is in your heart, say it, don’t hold it in.
  15. If you need help, tell someone that you know will be there for you. Let them help you.
  16. Relax in your bed with a cup of tea or coffee and read a good book.
  17. Try something new, whether it be a new pair of shoes, a new restaurant or a new lipstick color!
  18. Smile at a stranger…it’s contagious.
  19. Sit down and eat a good meal; no food on the go this weekend. Food always makes one smile!
  20. Surround yourself with flowers. Flowers add a positive effect in your home and they smell good!
  21. Never leave or fall asleep upset. Make up with those prior.
  22. Don’t forget to say I love you.
  23. Remember, live for today, not yesterday, not tomorrow, today
